Telekom Serbia issues new bonds to cover old bond debt

Telekom Serbia issued bonds worth exactly what it owes for a 2020 bond issue but with a much higher interest rate.

 

The bonds issued by the state-controlled company in 2020 fell due on September 25 and Telekom Serbia issued the new bonds that same day. Both bond issues are worth 23.5 billion Dinars (1 Euro – 117 Dinars).

 

The 2020 bonds had an interest rate of 3.97 percent and the new bond issue comes with an interest rate of 7.63 percent.

 

All 23.5 million bonds with a face value of 10,000 Dinars in the new issue were sold. The due date on them is September 2030. The names of the buyers have not been published.
