The European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) condemned statements by Serbian Culture Minister Nikola Selakovic targeting independent journalist Dinko Gruhonjic.
The EFJ is reported to have said that the verbal attack by the minister is a call for a lynch. Selakovic made what the EFJ called scandalous insinuations against Gruhonjic at Tuesday’s session of parliament.
According to the EFJ, Selaković’s comments are dangerous because they single out Gruhonjic as a legitimate target.
Gruhonjic has been targeted by the Serbian regime over the past few years.
