How Serbian cities finance “Informer”: Three contracts – eight million dinars

A total of eight million dinars went from the budgets of the cities of Nis, Vranje and Bor to finance the “Informer” tabloid, says Jelena Milošević, MP from the Freedom and Justice Party.

 

“Dear Zaječarci, if you are interested in what will happen to the mine, it looks like you will have to follow Informer, that’s what your government has decreed for you!”

 

Jelena Milošević, a member of the presidency, said this to the citizens of Zaječar on social networks Freedom and Justice Party. She also attached three documents on the financing of “Informer” from local city budgets.

 

According to the first, the Administration for Property, Economy and Environmental Protection of the city of Niš allocated one million dinars for two advertisements in “Informer”.

 

Furthermore, she claims, the Gad administration of the city of Vranje gave as much as 2,8 million for advertising in the same tabloid. It is not clear from the contract what kind of advertising it is.

 

The city administration of the city of Bor allocated almost 4,2 million for the advertising of public opinion for urban plans.

 

“Just three examples of how the regime’s heavy hitting is financed, which serves to target everyone who opposes the regime. Who knows how many contracts like this exist throughout Serbia. They insult and humiliate us for all our money. That’s why after the fall of the government, these poison plants must be shut down,” she wrote.

 

 

Alo, Informer and related companies received almost 100 million dinars in media contests

 

Tabloid publishers Alo i Inform, together with related companies, received almost 100 million dinars of public money, the analysis of the first 100 media competitions this year for project co-financing of media content shows, announced Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM).

 

ANEM singles out companies associated with the publishers of the tabloids Alo and Informer, which, according to the organization, are among the record holders for violating the Code of Journalists of Serbia.

 

Alo Media System, Insider Team and their related companies have so far received a total of 98,7 million dinars.

 

Insider Team received 12 million, while Alo Media System received 11,7 million dinars. The largest part of the funds went to Best Media Team, a joint venture of these two companies, which has taken over several local media throughout Serbia since the beginning of the year.

 

The Best Media Team won more than 49 million dinars at the competitions, and the funds were distributed among several local media, including TV-5 Uzice, Radio-television Bačka Palanka, Information Center Priboj, Television V5 Valjevo and Television Kikinda.

 

ANEM also states that INI media, co-owned by Alo Media System and publisher of NišTV, received a total of 26 million dinars, of which 25 million dinars were awarded by the city of Niš.
