Forbes Serbia editor Ivan Radak has received threats and insults in the comments under a report in which he questioned the credibility of the feasibility study for EXPO 2027.

 

Radak wrote that the feasibility study it did not inspire confidence in the project that the Serbian regime has invested major effort in.

 

A commenter using the name Orkan addressed Radak with a series of insults, calling him a traitor and using an ethnic slur before writing: “such lying vermin as you will be wiped out so they never sprout out again.”

 

N1 said it reported the threat to the authorities.

 

The incident is the latest in a series of threats targeting journalists working for media outlets within the Adria News Network. N1 said its newsroom has received repeated threats, including threats against news director Branislav Sovljanski and his family, as well as journalist Danica Vucenic.

 

The Independent Journalists’ Association of Serbia (NUNS) condemned the threats and called on police and prosecutors to identify the person behind the comment and assess Radak’s safety.
