The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) said on Tuesday that almost 90 new media outlets have been registered with the Serbian Business Registers Agency (APR) this year.

A press release said that most of the newly registered outlets are internet portals, with 82 online media added to the APR Media Registry, along with 5 print publications and one radio station. No new television stations were registered during this period, it said.

According to ANEM, the new outlets are mainly local media projects but added that several companies with existing media portfolios expanded their presence through additional regional portals. The newly registered outlets include media owned by established publishers, as well as new publications launched by local organizations and individuals.

ANEM said that the overall number of active media outlets has changed only slightly with APR data showing that the total number rising from 2,262 at the end of 2025 to 2,339 currently.
