Members of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists met in Bajina Bašta with representatives of the media and prosecutors to discuss mechanisms for quick response to potential attacks during the election campaign. The group will monitor the elections in Bajina Bašta, Lučani and Sevojno and provide support to journalists in case of threats to their safety.

This is the fourth meeting in municipalities and cities where elections will be held on Sunday, in order to present them with mechanisms for quick response to possible attacks.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the media from Bajina Bašta and Užice, who informed the members of the Standing Group that both citizens and the media in the pre-election period face a large number of problems and pressures, which are especially aimed at businessmen from those regions.
The President of the ANEM Board of Directors and a member of the Permanent Group, Veran Matić, announced that members of that group will be present on Sunday in all places where local elections are held, as a form of support and assistance in the event of disruptions to work and endangering the safety of journalists.
