Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday, his country appreciated the support of the OSCE Mission in Belgrade in the comprehensive reform process, including professional assistance in media freedom and the rule of law, as well as in strengthening human and minority rights.

A statement from Vucic’s office said that the OSCE Mission head Jan Bratu and the President talked about the modalities of cooperation in the process of democratisation, as well as the joint contribution to peace and stability in the region.

They agreed that the OSCE Mission’s activities should be planned with the relevant state institutions to follow the country’s real needs on its European path.

The two also discussed the situation in southern Serbia, and Vucic thanked the OSCE Mission for its assistance in the agreement between the Ministry of Education and the National Council of Albanians on textbooks in the Albanian language for primary schools, the statement said.
