Information and Telecommunication Minister Boris Bratina said tha journalists have to be protected.
“I truly believe that journalists must be protected while they’re doing their job,” he said commenting the assaults on reporters at Tuesday’s local elections in Kosjeric. He added that his message is meant for everyone, not just journalists. “A totalitarian organization is preparing to implement a totalitarian society,” Bratina told the pro-regime TV Pink.
The minister said that the bad behavior towards journalists and the public in general is supported by the choice of movies and series aired on TV stations, including the state TV (RTS), in which people behave badly. He said that kind of behavior is characteristic of people looking for but not getting recognition. “Loosers as the Americans would say,” he added.
