Forbes Serbia reported on Thursday that the state-controlled Telekom Serbia is set to acquire the River Media company which owns UNA TV.

It said the transaction was confirmed in a concentration filingto North Macedonia’s Commission for Protection of Competition. The acquisition would further expand Telekom Srbija’s growing media portfolio, which already includes Arena Sport, Euronews and a stake in Mondo Inc., the publisher of Kurir.

River Media, originally established as UNA World in 2021, became privately owned by executives Aleksandar Rados and Srdjan Prastalo in 2024. The company reported €11.8 million in revenue and €2.6 million in net profit last year.

UNA Television launched in 2021 as a regional broadcaster but withdrew from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and North Macedonia in 2024. Its Serbian operation continued under River Media.
