Former Serbian Commissioner for the Protection of Equality Brankica Jankovic met with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, during the Munich Security Conference.
Jankovic and Turk discussed the critical importance of upholding fundamental human rights, emphasizing that media freedom, equality, and accountability are essential pillars of stability and democracy.
This year’s Munich Security Conference is expected to host more than 1,000 participants from across the globe, including over 60 heads of state and government, as well as roughly 100 foreign and defense ministers.
The guest list includes Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
