The Independent Journalists’ Association of Serbia (IJAS) will tomorrow, April 8, mark the anniversary of the death of journalist Radislava Dada Vujasinović in Novi Sad, together with a delegation of international journalist associations gathered around the Media Freedom Rapid Response initiative.
IJAS invites journalists, media workers and the public to join us at the Rainbow Bridge in Novi Sad (Petrovaradin Bridge) at 1:00 p.m. and to commemorate this tragic event together by throwing flowers into the Danube in memory of Dada Vujasinović.
IJAS representatives will lay a wreath on the grave of Radislava Dada Vujasinović during the day.
Dada Vujasinović was found dead in her apartment in New Belgrade on April 9, 1994. The autopsy determined that she had died the day before, while the expert opinion of the Forensic Institute in The Hague from 2016 left three possibilities: that it was a suicide, a murder, or an accident. We remind that the absolute statute of limitations for criminal prosecution for the crime of murder came last year.
