Kosovo’s Independent Media Commission (IMC) has decided to ban the broadcasting of the Arena Sport TV channels by distribution operators over its glorification of the attacks in the north of Kosovo.
IMC head Jeton Mehmeti said the decision was made after Arena Sport channels broadcast content in violation of Kosovo regulations.
“It is about the transmission of video messages coming from Serbia that contain textual content glorifying the attack in the north and threatening messages for the citizens of Kosovo, which is in violation of the regulations and a threat to the country’s security,” said Mehmeti.
Arena Sport is rebroadcast in Kosovo by cable operators Artmotion, IPKO, Kujtesa, Telkos and MTS.
