Aleksandar Dikić, columnist and author of the show “Bez ustruvanja”, was released to defend himself after consideration of the lawyer’s proposal and the investigation so far.
Novinar Aleksandar Dikić he was released to defend himself from freedom, after previously being in detention because of accusations of calling for a violent change in the constitutional order.
The court assessed that there are no circumstances that would justify the continuation of custody and that Dikić can adequately monitor the course of the proceedings outside the custody premises.
The decision was made after considering the proposal of his lawyer and considering the course of the investigation so far, which respected the rights to defense and a fair trial.
A criminal complaint was filed against Dikić, which is under the jurisdiction of the Supreme Public Prosecutor’s Office, and the investigation is still ongoing.
Although the detention was extended in order to ensure the smooth flow of the proceedings, the court determined that there was no risk of escape or the risk of interfering with the proceedings, which allowed his release.
DS President Srđan Milivojević announced on his X account that his detention was terminated.
