An N1 crew was assaulted in central Belgrade on Wednesday by a woman in front of the park at the Serbian Presidency building.
The woman assaulted the N1 cameraman and reporter while they were interviewing passersby about the coming St Vitus day protest. The woman shouted: don’t record and rushed at the N1 crew striking the camerman.
The woman shouted at them, telling them not to approach the park where regime supporters have been camping in tents for months.
The woman struck the cameraman repeatedly.
This was the second assault on journalists in lest than 2 weeks. A Nevenclip crew were assaulted and beaten while reporting from the camp recently. The ANEM electronic media association said in a statement that Wednesday’s assault was the 11th on media crews in the presence of the police guarding the tent camp in the park who failed to react.
