N1 News Director Branislav Sovljanski received threats in comments left on the N1 portal.
The threats targeted Sovljanski and his family. They said that he should be impaled and roasted alive.
Sovljanski said the threats were reported to the High-Tech Crime prosecution. “This is not the first time threats have come from the same address… The person behind them has not been discovered so far. I want to believe that the institutions of this country are capable of ending these increasingly frequent events,” he said and added that he is concerned over the fact that very few similar cases of threats to N1 journalists and their families have been processed.
Sovljanski called the authorities to identify the person behind the threats.
The Independent Journalists Association of Serbia (NUNS) and the Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) condemned the threats and called the authorities to identify the perpetrators.
