United Media said on Wednesday that United Group remains the owner of key media companies in Serbia – N1 and Nova S following the sale of the SBB company.
A press release said that N1 and Nova S will continue to provide accurate, reliable, and objective information without any changes in editorial positions and will also be leaders in the production of original content, as announced by United Media.
According to United Media, the new owners of SBB e& PPF Telecom expressed a strong interest in keeping these two television channels available on the SBB cable network and to Yettel users.
The press release added that there are no negotiations or plans for the sale of any United Media companies, including the production houses Grand and IDJ. „We continue to operate as we have so far and to prepare the best content for the audience in Serbia across TV channels, portals, and newspapers,“ it said.
United Media said the only change in the company’s portfolio is with the Sport Klub Serbia channel whose existing rights to sports broadcasts will transfer to Arena Group as the only sustainable business solution because of the inability to provide Serbian viewers broadcasts of elite sports championships.
It said that Sport Klub will have exclusive sports content with leading sports journalists and that the sportklub.rs portal will continue as part of United Media. “The Sport Klub channels in Croatia and Slovenia will also remain part of the company, since they continue to hold exclusive rights for UEFA competitions, the Champions League, and national sports events,“ it added.
United Media said it will continue providing accurate, reliable, and impartial information. “Our dedicated work, along with strategic investments in digital transformation, innovative formats, and original production, guarantees that United Media will remain a leader in the media space,” it said.
