An N1 reporter was harassed by several people while reporting on the gathering organized by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade over the weekend.
The reporter walked through the enclosed area in front of the Serbian Parliament where the gathering was held. Food stalls and tents were put in the area with people lining up to get free meals for a third day on Sunday.
The N1 reporter said that the enclosed area was virtually empty, like after a party. Several local people said the area was left untidy.
She also wanted to talk to the people lining up for free food and water but was stopped by a man who wanted to sue N1 for spreading what he claimed are false news. Another man told the N1 crew they should be ashamed of themselves. A third man asked: Does N1 have a monopoly on the truth. A woman told her to get away and asked her if she was scared. Another man called N1 a sect and cursed the reporter.
The reporter managed to talk to 3 young men distributing food who told her that they were getting paid 70 Euro a day but could not specify who was paying them.
