An N1 cameraman was struck several times in the back while filming in a village near the town of Kosjeric, western Serbia, visited by Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Milos Vucevic ahead of upcoming local elections.
Cameraman Marjan Vucetic had entered a tent where Vucevic was present when unidentified men attacked him from behind, hitting him and forcibly pushing him out of the tent while shouting profanities and insults.
Local elections are scheduled for June 8 in Kosjeric and Zajecar.
Responding to a call from local students, the opposition in Kosjeric is running on a joint election ticket called “United for Kosjeric.”
