The Independent Journalists’ Association of Serbia (NUNS) said it would lend body armor and helmets to reporters in high-risk situations.
A press release said that the little protective equipment the NUNS has will be shared evenly among media outlets for use at protests, natural disasters and other crisis situations.
The NUNS said that reporters have been facing high risks over the past year of protests during the crisis in Serbian society with 289 cases of threats, pressure and assaults on media staff recorded this year.
