“At the opening of applications, the board of directors of RTS accepted the candidacy of Manja Grcic, even though she did not have confirmation that the diploma she submitted to the competition carries 240 ESPB points, and it was not even certified,” claims Slađana Ivančević, the opponent of Manja Grcic for the position of general director of the Public Service.
Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) announced on Wednesday that they had been approached by one of the candidates for the position of general director Radio and Television of Serbia (RTS) Slađana Ivančević stated that she believes that the competition for the general director of RTS was conducted outside the law, and that she will seek justice in court.
“The procedure was illegal. The management board accepted the candidacy during the opening of applications Less Grcic although she did not have confirmation that the diploma she submitted to the competition carries 240 ESPB points, and it was not even certified,” said Ivančević, quoted by the UNS in a statement.
She pointed out that this practically means that the Management Board allowed Manja Grcic to supplement the documentation in the meantime, and the competition does not recognize the possibility of supplementing the documentation.
“If I was missing one document, they would have rejected the application, just as they rejected the other five candidates. The same should have happened with Manja Grcic’s application,” Ivančević said.
She added that from the moment the applications were opened until today, she submitted two objections to the Board of Directors, but that she did not receive an answer to either of them.
“Everything was done outside the law. I have been in the media for a long time, I know how things work. I applied alone, knowing that I met the requirements. The way they conducted the application process is unacceptable,” Ivančević said.
She told UNS that she will consult with a lawyer as soon as possible in order to seek protection of her rights from the competent institutions.
