The tabloids “creating a killer cult” on their front pages received at least 50,000 euros from the budget after the two mass murders that took place in Serbia on May 3 and 4, said deputy leader of the opposition Party of Freedom and Justice (SSP) and MP Marinika Tepic.
“The Information Minister replied that this was ‘OK’, because ‘experts’ said so,” Tepic wrote on Twitter.
She posted on Twitter a photo of the reply she received to her question addressed to Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic in the Parliament regarding the funding of tabloids.
The reply, signed by Information Minister Mihailo Jovanovic, reads that committee in the competition for media content co-financing comprises “independent experts.”
