The owners of two media outlets known as major supporters of the Serbian regime have been helping the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) campaign for the March 29 local elections, the Raskrinkavanje.rs portal reported.
It said that Informer tabloid and TV owner Dragan J. Vucicevic was touring the municipalities where the vote will be held next Sunday speaking out against regime opponents and calling for unity in support of the regime. He is reported to have openly called people to vote for the SNS and has spoken out fiercely against what the regime calls blockaders.
Vucicevic’s activities are not limited to meeting local people. He owns shares in about a dozen local media outlets across the country through the Best Media Team which he co-owns with another pro-regime media outlet owner.
Unlike Vucicevic who is openly campaigning in support of the SNS, Pink TV owner Zeljko Mitrovic launched a humanitarian campaign in the Lucani area of western Serbia.
He was reported to have been at a village elementary school with senior SNS official Darko Glisic. Mitrovic donated a million Dinars (1 Euro – 118 Dinars) to the school along with tablets for all its students as well as other school supplies.
