The Council of Serbia’s Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media (REM) will hold an electronic session on Monday to decide whether to expand the list of media outlets included in its monitoring of election campaign coverage, Council President Stevica Smederevac said.
Council members will vote on the proposal by noon, with a press conference scheduled for 12:30 pm.
Smederevac said details of which additional media outlets could be included would be announced at the press conference. Asked whether Council members agreed on which broadcasters should be added to the monitoring, he declined to prejudge the outcome.
“Each Council member votes according to their own conscience and judgement, so I would not want to prejudge anything,” Smederevac said.
