Reporter assaulted at SNS stand

A local reporter was assaulted in the central Serbian city of Kragujevac while reporting on a protest at a ruling party event.

 

Nikoleta Josovic, a reporter for the Glas Sumadije portal, was assaulted while covering a protest against a Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) stand in the center of the city. The SNS customarily puts up stands in places where the frequency of people is high to try to gather support. Recently, protests have been staged as soon as the stands are put up with protests and party activists facing of sometimes for hours.

 

The portal said Josovic was assaulted by a woman working at the stand who hit her tripod knocking over the phone she was recording with. The woman walked away from the stand and the remaining SNS activists denied that she was with them.
