The Serbian state TV (RTS) management board failed to choose a new CEO and kept Dragan Bujosevic in the post as acting director general.
Bujosevic’s 5-year term as RTS CEO expires on February 3. The board said that it would be taking a decision on the applicants for the post by March 12. The acting appointment is allowed by law but has to be extended every 6 months and has been used by the authorities to avoid having to invite applications.
The RTS board is taking into consideration 6 candidates to replace Bujosevic.
The Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) said that the RTS management board is set to annul the tender and call a new one.
