A Serbian state TV (RTS) union demanded better reporting on the student protects or the resignation of the news desk editor in chief.
A letter to editor in chief Nenad Lj Stefanovic was sent by the Union of Production and Technical Department staff, saying that the reporting on the student protests has to be precise and in all news broadcasts, especially the main evening news at 7:30 pm.
“As soon as you receive this letter, you have to secure the participation of student protesters in news talk shows within the next 3 days and immediately announce which show and when,” the letter said.
The union said it expects it its demands are not met they expect Stefanovic to resign as news desk editor in chief. “If not, we will immediately demand your dismissal by the RTS Director General,” it said.
