Staff at the state Radio TV Vojvodina (RTV) in Novi Sad organized what they called Free Daily News in front of the public broadcaster’s headquarters to protest censorship in reporting on the protests that have been shaking Serbia for months.
The Free Daily News organizers read out their demand for the dismissal of the station’s CEO Goran Karadzic and 1st channel editor in chief Nenad Cacic and his associates.
“Objective, truthful, timely are the key adjectives which were not respected which is why we wish you a good evening in the Free Daily News which we are airing in front of the RTV building as the only way to oppose propaganda and protect the public interest which was has been jeopardized by the station’s editorial policies,” a statement said.
