The Russian television network RT has begun broadcasting a 24-hour program in Serbian, now available on the networks of several operators in Serbia and the Republika Srpska (RS) entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The programming will be produced from RT Balkan’s studio complex in Belgrade, as well as from bureaus in Moscow, Kosovska Mitrovica, Banja Luka, and Podgorica. The channel can be accessed on channel 665 of IRIS TV and the Supernova platform of Telekom Serbia.
“We are deeply grateful to the politicians of Serbia and Russia who have enabled us to operate in Serbia, despite immense pressure from Western countries doing everything to undermine the friendship between our peoples,” stated Jelena Milincic, Editor-in-Chief of RT Balkan.
The launch of RT in Serbian was congratulated by Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
