Serbia is among the countries most ready for the application of artificial intelligence

According to the global index, Serbia is more ready for the application of artificial intelligence than countries such as Mexico, Turkey, Egypt and Argentina, but also than Greece, Croatia and Romania, and than all other countries of the Western Balkans.

 

Serbia took the 39th place in readiness for artificial intelligence (AI), out of a total of 195 rated economies worldwide, which represents a significant improvement over the 57th place it was in last year’s report, the Office for IT and eGovernment announced today.

 

With that result, on the “Government AI Readiness Index 2025”, published by “Oxford Insights”, Serbia ranked among the top 20 percent of the most ready economy on a global level, significantly above the world average and ahead of a large number of member states Of the European Union.

 

“This confirms Serbia’s position among the most globally prepared countries for the application of artificial intelligence,” the announcement stated.

 

The group of the most prepared economies in the world consists of the most developed and technologically advanced countries of today, among which are United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Singapore, as well as China, Japan, South Korea, Canada, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Arab Emirates.

 

According to this global index, Serbia is better placed than countries such as Mexico, Turkey, Egypt and Argentina, as well as Greece, Croatia and Romania, but also than all other countries. Western Balkans.

 

In the regional context, Serbia stands out as one of the leaders of Eastern Europe, a region that, according to that index, is among the three strongest regions in the world in terms of readiness for artificial intelligence, right behind North America and Western Europe.
