The Zig Info investigative news portal said on Monday that a reporter for the pro-regime TV Pink was being paid 1,000 Euro a month to advise the authorities in a Belgrade suburb.

The portal published a one year contract signed in December 2020 between the head of the Grocka municipality and TV Pink reporter Gordana Uzelac who is considered close to the authorities.

Uzelac has accompanied President Aleksandar Vucic on a number of foreign trips and has interviewed him several times. She is also a fierce critic of the opposition and is alleged to be biased in her reporting.

Under the contract Uzelac receives monthly payments of 125,000 Dinars (1 Euro – 118 Dinars) as media advisor to Grocka munipality chief Dragan Pantelic.

The portal said that the Grocka municipal authorities are paying 59 advisors more than 56 million Dinars a year.

The municipal authorities denied the claims in a statement said to have been authored by Uzelac who also told all ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) activists to post in on their social network accounts.

Zig Info attracted public attention in 2018 when the home of one of its journalists was torched in an attack allegedly ordered by the SNS official then heading the Grocka municipality following reports of embezzlement on the portal.
