Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday that he never endangered N1 and Nova S TV stations.
He said that he is not interested in the two independent TV stations but that he is “pleased that they have shown anxiety”.
“Never in the past 10 or 11 years have I endangered N1 and Nova even though I could have found 1,000 things against them during COVID or 500 times for violations of constitutional order. That did not happen … I don’t want to tell myself that I can’t beat all those lies. If I can’t do that I don’t deserve to be president or be in politics,” Vucic said responding to a reporter who asked if he would not allow elections until those 2 stations are shut down.
He said the stations are necessary to allow him to show the public “the hatred and ignorance that would rule Serbia if they were in power”.
