The Serbian state TV (RTS) said on Friday that it would sue a pro-regime cable TV station for copyright infringement.

The RTS said that it would file suit against TV Informer for unauthorized rebroadcasting of a talk show that President Aleksandar Vucic appeared on.

The public broadcaster said that TV Informer did not contact it for permission to rebroadcast the show, using the live broadcast as part of its special show in violation of the law.

Informer publishes a tabloid which is known for its fierce support of the Serbian regime and its harsh criticism of the opposition.
