The founder of United Group, Dragan Šolak, is suing the majority owner BC Partners for 200 million euros, because they allegedly refused to pay him the bonus due from sale of SBB and Sport Club for a total of 1,5 billion euros.
This news was reported on June 3, 2025 by Law360, a portal specializing in legal news.
Not even two weeks later, Šolak was removed from all previous positions in the group.
What caused the dispute?
According to the article by William Janes, Dragan Šolak filed a lawsuit against the company on April 24. Summer Parent Sarl, which is owned by the British private company BC Partners. The court is asked to confirm Summer Parent Sarl ordered to pay 200 million euros for the sale of two companies in the Balkans, but also another 50 million euros, which could be collected through further sales.
United Group announced in February that it sold two companies in the Balkans for a total of 1,5 billion euros, in order to refocus on the European Union market. SBB was sold for 825 million, while Telekom paid 652 million euros for the rights to broadcast sports events previously held by Sport Club.
The founder of the United Group, Dragan Šolak, is no longer the chairman of the Advisory Board as of mid-June 2025, as is the former executive director, Viktorija Bocklag.
