Staff at the Serbian state TV (RTS) went on strike at 2 pm on Thursday after the station managers failed to respond to their demands for higher pay.
The RTS strikers are demanding higher salaries, safety on the job and want all parts of their contracts fulfilled along with realistic job organization.
The strikers also want permanent contracts for short-term contract employees and are demanding that the RTS operate in line with the law on public broadcasters.
