Belgrade University students called the public to join them in a 6-hour gathering at the offices of a regime tabloid over the weekend.
The School of Political Sciences (FPN) students said they would be gathering in front of the Informer tabloid and cable TV offices in Belgrade’s Vozdovac municipality on Saturday at 2:00 pm for a peaceful, dignified protest “because violence is not in line with the values we advocate”, an Instagram post said.
The protest in front of the Informer offices comes after a recent attack by its owner and editor in chief Dragan J. Vucicevic on a student from Novi Pazar. “Dragan, just a small reminder – we’re not coming to block, we’re coming to hang out,” the post said.
The FPN students said they would launch a petition to ban Informer.
