Serbian Parliament Speaker and prominent member of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Ana Brnabic made untrue claims on Pink TV Thursday morning that media operating within United Media have been sold.
With such statements, she is once again knowingly deceiving the public, in an attempt to create a false narrative about a change in ownership of our media outlets.
While we believe that it would suit her and the party whose interests she exclusively represents for there to be no free media like N1 and Nova that inform citizens about all key events in the country, such a scenario will not happen.
As she and her party colleagues spread falsehoods and attempt to discredit our work, the facts are clear: our media outlets have not been sold and will not be sold. The only thing that is changing is the strengthening of our presence and influence in the media market – as reflected in the fantastic viewership results over the past four months.
We assure citizens that the media operating under United Media will continue to report daily on the largest student and civic protests in Serbia, providing accurate, reliable, and objective information.
