Zoran Kesić and the crew of the show “24 minutes” announced the start of the new season on September 19, while at the same time they are waiting for the answer of the new owners of Nova S about whether the show will remain on that television
The new season of the show “24 minutes with Zoran Kesić” should start on September 19, but for now it is not known whether the show will also be broadcast on television Nova S, was announced on the social networks of the show.
In a post on social networks, Kesić and his team point to the uncertainty that accompanies the start of the new television season, stating that they signed the new contract back in June, but that it has not yet been signed by the other side.
As they state, the reason why they are addressing the public is that they are unable to get an answer from the new television owners, who come from Portugal, about the continuation of cooperation.
In the publication, through the lyrics and the title of the famous Portuguese singer Amália Rodrigues’ song, “Fado do Silêncio”, a parallel is drawn between the Portuguese word “fado”, which means fate, and the uncertainty in which the show and part of the media scene in Serbia are located.
“For the uninitiated, the fate of N1, Nova S, Radar and Danas is being decided by the new owners from Portugal, and it was conveniently arranged that the word ‘fado’ means – fate,” according to the announcement of the show’s team.
Kesić’s team reminds that “24 Minutes” entered the new television season in September for the previous 13 years, and that the beginning of the next season is planned for September 19.
“We signed the new contract back in June. However, the contract is only valid when both parties sign it. But on the other (Portuguese) side, what would Amalia say – ‘Silencio’. They neither write nor call,” they state.
As they add, despite attempts to get an answer, the show team does not yet know whether the program will continue on television and whether the new owners have signed a contract.
“September 19, the planned start date of the new season, is approaching, and the team of our show, despite all their efforts, asking, yelling and listening, does not manage to get an answer to a simple question – are we starting on television or not,” the announcement states.
The “24 Minutes” team assesses that, along with all the reasons for continued cooperation, the possibility of a different decision should also be taken into account.
“The times are illogical, some powerful people are illogical, it is logical that the illogical becomes logical”, they state, adding that it has already happened in the media that something that exists is turned into “nothing”.
A special appeal was made to the new owners from Portugal to break their silence and announce their decision.
“Tell the Portuguese that it is not Serbian to remain silent,” says the team of the show.
At the same time, the announcement reminds of the previous announcements of the new owners that they will not accept political and other pressures.
“After all, they announced that they ‘will not agree to any political or other pressures’, so if by chance someone pressures them to continue with Silencio, we encourage them to call out the name of the oppressor freely – we will protect them, as we have protected and protect all sincere fighters against political pressures”, it is stated.
However, regardless of whether it will be televised, the new season of the show is scheduled to begin on September 19.
The “24 Minutes” team announced that the first show will be published on the show’s official YouTube channel on September 19 at 8:30 p.m.
“For now, there are only 600.000 of you there, and that’s why you urgently need to let another 400.000 people join us so that each of you will be ‘1 in a million,'” they told the audience.
Whether “24 minutes with Zoran Kesić” will also be broadcast on Nova S, as stated by the show’s team, depends on when the new owners of the television will end “Silencio” and announce their decision.
