In the first 100 completed media contests for 2026, more than one billion dinars were distributed, and who received the most money
Tabloid publishers Alo i Inform, together with related companies, received almost 100 million dinars of public money, the analysis of the first 100 media competitions this year for project co-financing of media content shows, announced Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM).
For the first 100 completed media contests for 2026, more than one billion dinars were distributed, while three local governments – Surdulica, Vrbas and Gadžin Han – have not yet announced contests, even though the legal deadline expired on March 1.
According to ANEM’s analysis, Radiotelevision Pancevo (31,5 million dinars), Kopernikus Cable Network from Niš (30,5 million), Zona plus (29,6 million) and INI media (26 million) received the most funds individually.
More than 20 million in previous contests went to Television Pirot, RTV Novi Pazar and Radio Television Kraljevo and Ibarski Novosti almost 20 million each, VTV from Subotica 18 million, Sremska S from Šid, Dnevnik Poljopridjernik and Dnevnik Vojvodina Press 16 million each, Radio Television Trstenik 15 million, as well as Vision Craft from Niš.
Between 10 and 15 million were received by Vranjska Plus, RTV Vranje, RTV Kruševac, RTV Caribrod, TV-5, Radio Television Backa Palanka, Media Center Kovačica, RTV Šumadija, Novi Sadska TV.
Almost 100 million for a network of affiliated companies
ANEM singles out companies associated with the publishers of the tabloids Alo and Informer, which, according to the organization, are among the record holders for violating the Code of Journalists of Serbia.
Alo Media System, Insider Team and their related companies have so far received a total of 98,7 million dinars.
Insider Team received 12 million, while Alo Media System received 11,7 million dinars. The largest part of the funds went to Best Media Team, a joint venture of these two companies, which has taken over several local media throughout Serbia since the beginning of the year.
The Best Media Team won more than 49 million dinars at the competitions, and the funds were distributed among several local media, including TV-5 Uzice, Radio-television Bačka Palanka, Information Center Priboj, Television V5 Valjevo and Television Kikinda.
ANEM also states that INI media, co-owned by Alo Media System and publisher of NišTV, received a total of 26 million dinars, of which 25 million dinars were awarded by the city of Niš.
Large amounts for other media groups as well
Among the biggest winners are the media associated with businessman Radoic Milosavljević, who were awarded more than 76 million dinars. We are talking about the media, including RTV Kruševac, TV Pirot, TV Leskovac, RTV Caribrod and other local broadcasters.
The companies of Goran Lalić, owner of Novosadska TV and publisher of Dnevnik Vojvodina Press, received almost 35,5 million dinars.
Vladan Stefanović’s media from Subotica received more than 27 million dinars, while media connected to Aleksandar Vinčić from Šid received more than 20,5 million.
ANEM also states that the publishers gathered around the NS Uživo portal, Vojvodina Uživo and other local media received a total of 19,4 million dinars, while the network of 18 media connected to Slavko Stijaković was supported with more than 15 million dinars.
New players in competitions
Among the winners was Zaple Media Group, which only at the beginning of the year launched several local media, in which Gradimir Banković from the Center for Social Stability is the editor-in-chief. This company received support for four projects worth 6,6 million so far – 2,1 million in Užice, 1,5 million from Vojvodina, 2 million in Arandjelovac and 1 million dinars in Požega.
ANEM also announced that the recently founded Association of Independent Journalists (ANS) received 1,11 million dinars at the competition in Belgrade and an additional 500.000 dinars at the competition in Novi Sad.
